MCS Pre-elementary parents join hands in clean-up drive
Dengue cases in the country have been on the rise. Many parents have expressed concern over the safety of their children at school as the mosquitoes responsible for spreading this deadly disease especially among children have apparently proliferated practically all over the country with many documented dengue cases found here in Quezon City.
Lovey as Pre-Elem PTA President had proposed that the pre-elem parents be actively involved in the cleanliness of the school surroundings. She had suggested that there be a day where parents could help cleanup the nearby premises to the school to further reduce the number of dengue-carrying mosquitoes and other disease causing insects and waste materials found in the vicinity.
That day found fruition last September 11, when one Saturday morning, a good number of Pre-elem parents bonded together cleaning the side streets of Mater Carmeli School.

Almost done…
Since a considerable number of parents along with some kids participated in the cleanup campaign, it didn’t take long for us to get the job done.
In fact, some of the parents still had the energy to sweep and bag the dead leaves inside the school campus.
Merienda time!
After the snack break, Odette and some parents stayed on, this time to prepare for the Pre-elementary level’s Family Day on Sept. 19! Such dedication and vigor! I am inspired by such concern and spirit of volunteerism!

Again, I commend my wife and the parents who came and gave their invaluable support to this noble cause for cleanliness and good health! My hat’s off to all of you!
